VILA DO FORTE

The heart of Praia do Forte, the Vila is where everything happens. Once a meeting point for fishermen, today it’s filled with charming shops, cozy inns, bars, and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to stroll around with no rush, enjoy an ice cream, shop for local crafts, or pick a special spot for dinner.

PROJETO TAMAR

A unique and meaningful experience. Projeto Tamar is a renowned marine turtle conservation project that fascinates both adults and children. In addition to the turtles, there are interactive tanks, a shop, a restaurant, and educational activities. It’s located near Praia do Porto and the Church of São Francisco. Be sure to check the daily schedule at the entrance — there’s always something interesting happening!

PRAIA DO LORD AND LORD’S NATURAL POOLS

For nature lovers, this is a must-visit spot. Praia do Lord’s natural pools are formed by reefs and are perfect for snorkeling and watching colorful fish. There isn’t much permanent infrastructure, but you can rent umbrellas, chairs, and snorkeling equipment. Go during low tide for the best experience!

CHURCH OF SÃO FRANCISCO DE ASSIS AND SÃO FRANCISCO SQUARE

Right at the entrance to the Vila, you’ll find the charming Church of São Francisco de Assis — a postcard symbol of Praia do Forte. Simple and beautiful, it stands facing the ocean, surrounded by São Francisco Square — a lovely place to sit, people-watch, or take photos. At night, the square becomes even livelier with street performers, open shops, and bustling restaurants.

BUGGY RIDE

For those who love a bit of adventure and want to explore the area in a more thrilling way, we recommend a buggy tour with @‌buggypraiadoforte. You’ll get to visit Sapiranga Reserve, Garcia D’Ávila Castle, natural pools, and see where the river meets the sea.
